Exhibition of the Gough Map

As well as the colloquium, the project also set up a public exhibition of the Gough Map and associated materials within the Bodleian Library. Placed in the Library’s Proscholium from May 14 to June 26 2011, the display benefitted from its position and attracted much interest from visitors passing by. In creating the display the project team was assisted by the Library’s exhibition staff and conservators, and the panels gave information resulting from the research carried out as part of the Linguistic Geographies project.
