Translation
Earlier editors ...nagh. Badenoch is shown on Speed’s map of Scotland of 1610 and on Mercator’s British Isles of 1564. It may refer, as Gough suggests, t. Ruthven or Kingussie, but I think it refers t. the castle of the Comyns at Loch am Eilein (Parsons).
